HPL Meetings and Events is owned and operated by Heather Lockwood, CMP, who obtained her Certified Meeting Professional Designation in 2001, and is a meeting, conference and event specialist, whose goal is to exceed your expectations. Heather was named MPI Ottawa’s 2016 Planner of the Year.’ In addition, Heather who obtained her Certified Sommelier Designation in 1998, and she has extensive experience managing numerous hospitality receptions for Government, Associations, and Non for Profit Organizations.

Heather is a highly skilled meeting professional with 25 years of extensive expertise managing Government meetings, conferences, engagement processes, training sessions and events, at the local, national and international levels, for the House of Commons, Correctional Services Canada and Crown-Indigenous Relations, (formerly Indigenous and Northern Affairs Canada). She is a well-organized logistical planner who is experienced in high level events that requires various levels of protocol. In addition she has extensive experience in security, communications and negotiating contracts to ensure that the client gets the best value for their investment, as well as for managing multiple suppliers prior to and during events, to guarantee that the meeting or event will run seamlessly and on schedule.

Her passion for transforming concept into reality has propelled her long career in assisting municipal, provincial and federal government, and various non for profit associations execute successful meetings and events.
